A couple of weeks ago, I was chatting to a good friend and former colleague about Covid-19 and we inevitably started to feel a little glum. There are so many sad stories in the news at the moment – and understandably so. But surely good things must be happening in the world too?
So, with no prior experience and a lot of extra time on our hands, we decided that starting our own podcast to share good news and positivity with the world was the only logical thing to do. Fast forward a week and Comms Vs. Corona was born.
What’s it all about?
Comms Vs. Corona is a podcast to highlight those spirit-lifting, life-affirming, feel-good stories that all too often get lost. It’s also a chance to highlight the great work being done in the name of ‘comms’ during these most testing of times.
It’s released weekly(ish) and is suitable for anyone looking for something light-hearted that will bring a smile to your face. You don’t need to be a communications professional to enjoy J
Who’s behind it?
The podcast is brought to you by me, Janine Radcliffe, Owner of Radwood Communications. I’m joined by my co-host, Ben Ormsby, Yorkshire Editor of TheBusinessDesk.com. Each week we ‘meet’ in our comfy pants with a glass of wine (or whiskey, or beer – we don’t discriminate) to discuss the positive things that have happened in the world this week. We’re totally new to this and learning as we go so you can look forward to laughs and gaffes aplenty (as well as some good content too, we promise).
How can I listen?
The first two episodes of the podcast are now available on Apple Podcasts, Soundcloud, Stitcher and more. So, get those baggy pants on, grab a drink and join us! We’d love to know what you think.
Can I get involved?
Absolutely. There’s a couple of ways you can get involved:
- Subscribe to the podcast and leave us a review – we’d really appreciate it
- Follow @CommsVs on Twitter and tweet us your feedback, thoughts or good news stories. You might just get a shoutout 😉
- Join us as a guest. If you’d like to come on the podcast let us know by emailing commsvs@outlook.com and telling us your story
